NLT was honored to sponsor and participate in the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association's (URISA) GIS-Pro 2021 conference in Baltimore, MD. URISA is a nonprofit association that provides education, training, and advocacy for geospatial challenges and issues, and essential resources for GIS professionals throughout their careers. NLT team members presented, moderated sessions, and conducted training for attendees at this flagship annual event, which brings together geospatial professionals from across the public, private, academic, and commercial sectors.
NLT's CEO, Chief Scientist, and Program Manager moderated and presented in the Operationalizing Active Remote Sensing Data including Lidar & SAR session. NLT's Chief Scientist presented the latest work toward an integrated real-time risk framework for disaster response, while NLT's Program Manager presented on operationalizing cloud architectures to support remote sensing. NLT's Program Manager later presented "Building Cloud-native Serverless Geospatial Applications for the Enterprise" in the Efficiency from the Cloud session. An NLT Senior Consultant — a former URISA President — led the Preparing for GISP Certification Workshop.
