This was an opportunity for researchers to submit a novel study to the Special Issue that NLT's Chief Scientist co-edited with colleagues from the World Bank Group and Google in the Remote Sensing MDPI journal.
The purpose of the Special Issue was to stimulate progress in remote sensing research into measuring the SDGs and monitoring countries' progress toward achieving them. The issue brings together novel studies, methods, and measurement techniques that use remotely sensed data to monitor SDG progress and improve the timeliness, coverage, and quality of SDG-related data.
